Manifest 'Open Design'

This is all the pollution we created during our proces of making the salad spinner. We acknowledge the sum of production of pollution during our proces. Because of this experiance I adjusted Manifest of Open Source & Design.

I acknowledge the problem by trying to make this product by myself without connecting with real designers. If I had done that, it would have been 1. Easier to make the product work.  2. To sustain the amount of pollution during our process.
So because of this experience I wrote down a Manifest of how I think Open design should be acknowledged.

‘It is not just a way to design products, but it must also be part of everyday life. ‘

I will:
·                     find opportunities to design in the open
·                     share my design experiences; both the good and the bad
·                     find time for meaningful projects
·                     openly participate in design discussions
·                     work with other designers by choice
·                     improve my toolbox
·                     The knowledge of trying a adhocism solution, before developing something new
·                     Sharing of knowledge how to make a sustainable production
·                     Find a solution by using sustainable material
·                     The designer should think about the natural and cultural systems
·                     The whole process of making a product should be accessible to everyone
·                     Making existing products more resource efficient

‘The designer should think about the natural and cultural systems’ this would be one of the most important thing to think about before opening up, or before designing a new product. How can we encourage new users and designers create with sustainable material and how can we make existing products more resource efficient?

To do this we should acknowledge to design for sustainability with a focus on people considers ways of satisfying fundamental human needs. Here lies the greatest potential benefit: different satisfiers have different implications not only for people but also for other factors such as the environment. A focus on needs and the ways that needs are satisfied does not exclude the design and production of products, services or systems. Conversely, a focus on the design of products, services and systems cannot promote sustainable consumption without consideration of people's needs. Implicit in this is a requirement for designers to engage with issues underlying consumer actions, to understand behavior in many contexts, and to connect with people's aspirations and expectations.

Designing for sustainability, we address the design dimension of environmental and social crisis explicitly by using the concept of design for sustainability. Use Instead of an aesthetic, the ideas embodied in the design to link sustainability and alliances between people and their environment and are not tied to an individual design profession. Here they can use various platforms where professional designers and non-professionals can communicate with each other about there idea’s. A good and environmentally friendly product by helping each other is one of the most important points. By sharing knowledge also shows how open and accessible open design is.
 - Process for the manufacture of products should be durable expired.
- Selected material goods must be durable.
- Products of our daily lives that we use are durable, but also accessible to ourselves to make / repair.
- Sharing of knowledge in the field of sustainable production.
- With its open design process and product came about in a sustainable manner.
-Decisions that the designers participate in open design should take into account industrial, natural and cultural systems.
-The whole process of making a product to be accessible to everyone
